Taking good notes in class is an important part of academic success in college and school.This helps you focus and understand the difficult concepts. Here are some amazing tips for some amazing notes:

1. Make it colorful

Color-coding is a great way to organize the information that you need to learn. Color-coded notes allow you to rapidly review the most important information. Remember too much of color might cause distraction!

2. Highlight Key Words and Phrases

This helps students organize what they have read by selecting what is important. Highlighting draws information to the important text. Highlighting is effective because it first asks the reader to pick out the important parts and then gives an effective way to review the information later.

3. Do not write every word

If you write down every word then you will most likely not be able to keep up with what the professor is saying.If you do this you might end up missing a very important thing.This wastes a lot of time! 

4. Write in short sentences

The shorter it is the easier it is to remember.

Give references to the page and chapter you took the notes from. Include the date as well!
